It's back for a third year! It's time for you to take the reins of my show and Do It Yourself! That's right, it's DIY time again on Party At Ground Zero and YOU get to program the songs! WOOHOO!
As always, there are some rules to use when selecting your choices for the April shows. They're EXACTLY the same as last year but still read carefully! Here you go!
- Each set must be exactly SIX SONGS
- The songs in the set must span at least TWO decades of the Rock Era (1955-now)
- I am not adverse to accepting songs recorded prior to 1955 as long as they comply with the other guidelines and are not exceptionally rare and hard-to-find (And the Percy Faith fans rejoice!)
- The set must contain at least two distinct musical styles/genres (and NO, I don't mean country AND western)
- Songs do NOT have to be singles to be considered
- All songs must be upbeat or at LEAST a decent mid-tempo - no slow jams
- Your song choices can be something I've used on PAGZ before but I'd prefer you try to avoid material from the last 4-5 shows since it's the most recently played.
- You cannot repeat artists within a set
- You can submit up to THREE separate sets
- OPTIONAL: If you have the time, I’d like some of you submitting sets to take on one more little assignment. I’d like you to peruse the past playlists for Party At Ground Zero looking for songs/artists you don’t know (or don’t remember me playing)... [Read More]
What is zis? It is only Sunday night and zere is a show notice ALREADY???
It is because I love you. I adore you. I want you..... to tune in. So I must give you notice. Plenty of notice. And it took me 3 tries to even capitalize the letter "P" in "plenty." This is the type of love zat I have for you, I will fix my typos.
So be zere, 10 PM EST, February 27. And I will move you.
The bad news is that Thom is currently working and will not have time to properly prepare for his show tonight.
The good news is that I have no plans and will take over hosting duties tonight for the Renegade Retro Saturday Night All 80's Request Show! You shut up! It is SO good news!
Keep in mind I will NOT be able to take requests through the web interface as I am remote. If you can, send them to me in PM here in advance for the greatest ease. I'll be taking live requests in the chatroom as well as on Yahoo Messenger.
I'll take over the stream around 9:30pm Eastern and start the request show at 10pm sharp. Yes, MY show will start ON TIME. I hope to see you there!
