Welcome to the Retro Radio Network℠!
Two stations used to make up the Retro Radio Network℠, but for now there's only one: Renegade Retro℠
Renegade Retro℠ brings you the best music of the 80's and broadcasting LIVE, 24-7 in clear 64K mp3PRO Stereo! We recommend WINAMP for listening, and be sure to get the mp3PRO Plug-in. All the top hits of the 80s you grew up with plus classic alternative, rock and metal tracks with over 14,100 songs! Featuring artists like Def Leppard, Wang Chung, Madonna, Bon Jovi, Culture Club, Depeche Mode, Cyndi Lauper, The Police, The Cure and tons more of your favorite 80's music. Our Playlist is also interactive! YOU can add lyrics, post comments or reviews of songs, request songs, and even rate songs!
So come on in, join the conversations and tune in your choice. You'll be glad you did.
Currently, which means you won't be able to make requests through the playlist, but you can still hear great 80's tunes. I'll update this thread once I find out more.
I thought I'd take the chance to show people the actual broadcast studio that Renegade Retro broadcasts out of, and the setup I do it all with.
Yes, it really is in my dining room...
The white computer on the top shelf that you can just see the bottom of is the actual station PC that runs the whole shebang. What you see on the screen is the broadcast software that controls every single thing you hear on the station except for the live voiceovers, which are fed in through the mic and mixing board. That software picks the music playing, handles the crossfading, the liners, the requests, normalizes the sound levels, encodes the broadcast and sends it out, everything. It's going to be getting a rather major hardware upgrade VERY soon, also.
This is my hobby. This is my baby. This is what I'll be losing if Congress doesn't repeal these royalty rate increases. And it's what you WON'T be seeing/hearing in that case.
This week on Metal Shop, we feature a segment on 80s bands featuring Dead Rockers. So lower your hats to your chest and bow your heads as they rock again.
Air time is 10 PM eastern (7 PM Pacific) Friday give or take 5 minutes. For winamp users click here, For windows Media Player users click here. You can also join us in the network chat room at Retro Radio Network Forums.

I was going through my library last night and it dawned on me...I have the entire DIO Discography on MP3 but it wasn't included in the library. Maybe 20 Dio tracks were in it. So I copied the entire Discography to the library. Working on my Dokken Discography now.
On a related note, some artists are strictly Greatest hits collection. Not for much longer, with that extra drive I plan to go entire discography on the biggest names in 80s rock, glam, and metal.
