The gist of the story is that a teacher, in order to explain the hardships of black slavery to her class, decided to bind the hands and feet of two black students and have them feel what it was like. One of the students got upset and the mother complained.
I can definitely see the mother's point of view. That's a pretty messed up way to teach slavery. But I don't think the teacher should be fired.

Oh yeah. I started getting letters from lawyers before I even KNEW that the judgment was against me. Mystified me, until I got a notice from the court like a week later.
