I fully support Arizona. You aren't here legally? Don't let the door hit ya on the way out. We need to crack down on illegal immigration, and this is a start the the federal government should be taking its cue from.

This law has been on the books for years. The governor has decided to bring it to the forefront. My guess is for political reasons (re-election, even though Brewer didn't get elected the first time; she's here because Napolitano left). That being said, I fully support the law. If you're going to reside in the U.S., do it legally.

I live less than 30 miles from a highly trafficked illegal immigration drug corridor. A few months ago a police officer got shot out there. There have been incidences in the last few years where undocumented immigrants have shot (and one time killed) police officers. About 20 years ago my friend & I got in a car accident with an illegal immigrant that had no insurance. They rarely pay for healthcare. These are just a few of the reasons why I support the law.
