Re: Robert Goulet is dead

So sad, I liked him. I'm trying to remember what I remember him from. Had to be something from television of the 70s, because I was a voracious couch potato in those days, but I can't remember what I might have seen him in.

I have enjoyed the commercial he'd done fairly recently for Emerald Nuts.

Those Emerald Nuts commercials rocked. And he looked like he loved doing them.

His quick blurb in "Scrooged" was great, too.

Re: Robert Goulet is dead

Robert Goulet's shining moment, for me, was "The Naked Gun 2 1/2". He was a perfect straight man with a few great lines of his own.

"Let me introduce you to some people. Of course, you know Dr Meinheimer. And Earl Hacker. And I'd like you to meet the Redmans...weekend guests from out of town."

In memoriam, I shall dress up as his corpse tomorrow to pass out candy. I'll be Robert GHOUL-et! GHOUL-et! BAHAHAHAHAHA

Re: Robert Goulet is dead

So very sad He was definitely a fine actor and his work will be missed. My fave story about him (that he probably never even heard) is from Canadian rocker Kim Mitchell who does a song called "I Am A Wild Party"...if you haven't heard it I recommend d/l'ing it because it ROCKS...anyway I heard Kim in an interview and they were asking him what the crowd yells after he sings "I Am A Wild Party"....the answer is "Rah! Rah! Oolay!" but Kim was saying that he was playing a gig one night and there was this one person in the front row screaming "ROBERT GOULET!"...I just about drove off the road I was laughing so hard....

RIP Mr. Goulet

That's sad. I wonder if Will Ferrell will be at his funeral.
