Thanks everyone. I really do appreciate all the warm thoughts you've sent me today.
I'd like to say I had a happy day, but I didn't. Most of my day was spent worrying about my dad, who went to the hospital yesterday with chest pains. It turns out that he had two blocked arteries. They did the angioplasty today, and he seems better, but they're going to be watching him for a couple more days.
There is a lot of backstory behind all of this, none of which I really want to get into at the moment (I'm pretty plastered right now, although my typing won't show it), but it ends with him in the hospital, my mom breaking down after all the stress, and my aunt (my dad's older sister) treating my mom like shit and blaming her for this. I've been batting around the idea of flying home to be with him, but my mom said it's not necessary, although I'd like to go home just so I could tell my aunt to shove off and mind her own damned business.
Anyways, I talked to my dad earlier and he sounds good, a lot better than what he has been sounding like as of late.
Once again, thank you all, and say a prayer to the deity of your choice for my dad.
