Guy gave one hell of an acceptance speech. And I see the world didn't catch on fire while I slept.
Edited to add: I also have to say...if the McCain I saw give his concession speech had been the McCain that had shown up during the campaign, he would have had a lot better chance. The McCain I saw last night was the McCain I used to respect many years ago.

That's what a lot of people are saying. I thought his speech was well done, although the rednecks in the crowd booing and yelling sort of took away from that.

I'm just grateful we don't have 4 more years of Republican control to look forward to. Like we needed that.

Seriously, I hope people aren't thinking that he's going to get into the White House, snap his fingers, and everything will be fixed. It is going to be a difficult road to travel, and no doubt some taxes will go up, but I'm confident that within a year we'll see improvements.
Also, I'm really fucking pissed with California. What the fuck is wrong with you people?! How could you pass a proposition that is so discriminatory and hateful? Don't gay people have the right to be as miserable as the rest of us who are married? I thought y'all were a bunch of Liberals! Asstards.
