My holiday would have been vastly better if my mother hadn't called to inform me that my grandmother is deathly ill. She was admitted into the hospital a few days ago, was doing okay even though she has pneumonia, then this morning she had a massive heart attack and stopped breathing. She's on oxygen and a ventilator right now, and is heavily sedated and strapped down because she was trying to remove the ventilator.
So now we play the wait and see game. I have travel websites bookmarked right now, just in case the worst thing happens.
