WTF story of today

Apparently two PA judges accepted millions in kickbacks to send a bunch of kids to juvenile detention centers. WTF.

I think I can see her point (no pun intended), especially if the assailant shows no remorse and if it can act as a deterrent, but does capital-ish punishment really serve as a deterrent? Maybe this belongs in the debate forum. Hmmm.
