Cool. I love their software. I have it installed on my laptop for use when I have to play (read: get volunteered for) music at someone's fucntion. Makes life real easy.

I do occasionally Stream with it on shoutcast. Mostly for test purposes or to let someone hear a song from my computer.
My son and I have been repairing the speakers I use when i get volunteered to do music at things. These things are my pride and joy outside of my radio station. I use them on Halloween for the sound effects outside. I use them at barbecues.
When I crank them up on Halloween, you can hear sound effects three streets away.
The foam surrounds on the woofers completely rotted away over the winter. We didn't know it until we used them at a wedding 2 weeks ago. So I ordered a repair kit and we've spent the past couple of days replacing the surrounds. 15" woofers are HUGE, but I wouldn't trade these speakers for anything. They're rated as one of the finest vintage speakers you can get, I believe. Not bad for picking them up at a yard sale 8-10 years ago for $20 for the pair.
Back when Radio Shack made a decent set of Speakers. Unheard of today!
I've never really used SAM for DJ-ing parties. But then my collection isn't entirely party favorites (Mostly Hard Rock, Metal, and Glam.). Once I get another Desktop I may restart NW Rock full time using SAM. But Not while I'm limited to only a laptop. (even if it is Smoking Faster then my old PC).
Midas actually first introduced me to SAM. It's the old 4.2.2 version. Don't need anything newer...still does what I want it to.

We reassembled the speakers tonight and tested them out on the porch. Had my laptop hooked up into my Realistic QTA-770, with the Mach One's hooked up to that. Hardly had the volume up, and the laptop volume wasn't maxxed either, and we had the neighbors complaining (at only 8:00 PM!!). My wife was walking around the neighborhood and heard me from 2 streets away. Oh yes, they are now back in fiiiiine form. Halloween will be good this year.
