Hope everyone has a Safe and Happy Holiday!
So what/how/where is everyone spending the holidays? Whadja get?
Most of my family is out o' town this year. Parents live in two different states. Most of my sister's kids are with their dad in TX so she and hubby #2 and the remaining kids decided to trek to Vegas. My brother and his girlfriend traveled from San Diego to Tucson and unfortunately I may not make it down to see him tomorrow.
For Christmas Eve we went over to my in-laws for brunch. Had a nice sausage/egg/cheese casserole and hash browns.
Then we helped finish decorating some Christmas cookies so my MIL could take them to her friends. Took a short winter's nap then got up to go to 6 PM Mass (we normally go to Midnight Mass but my mother-in-law had to be at work at 6 AM today). After church we had tamales and beans and rice for dinner (Feliz Navidad!) and we had some gifts to open with them. Me in-laws gots me a bag o' Christmas Blend coffee from Starbucks, a Maglite Flashlight set and a new drill bit set. I'm drinking some of the coffee right now but decided not to try drilling holes in dark rooms using just my flashlights for light.
Sara also gave me one of the gifts she got for me (well, told me about it as there wasn't enough room in the car to take it home last night): a deskchair floormat for my studio to make it easier for me to roll around (in the chair
). There's a couple more gifts under the tree here that we'll open later as I'm giving Sara the gift of sleeping in this morning.
We're going back over to the in-laws early this afternoon to get all the food we made together to pack up and take up to Sara's cousin's place in North Snottsdale for dinner.
