Welcome bookmistress4ever!

The Retro Radio Network Forums are a very diverse place. There is a lot to do here - the trick is just knowing where to look.

First, introduce yourself. We're a friendly bunch and we welcome newcomers to the Community.
If you have a problem figuring out how to use a forum feature, check out the FAQ. Your question may already be answered.

We are a community based on the radio stations in our network, and the eras we grew up in. As such, we are all about conversation about the past and present, jokes, quizzes, links and games. We talk about pop culture from the 60's through present day, hobbies, raising kids, getting ahead at work, and just about anything else friends talk to each other about.

So, if you are trapped in a cubicle at work or if you are a stay at home parent looking for some company and some fun, and a little reminiscing, this is the place for you.

Hiya,

My name is Patty and I'm a music addict. Oh wait, this probably isn't musicians anonymous, is it?

Just dropping in for a listen. Great music!, and my requests actually get played unlike when I used to call in to the radio station.

I used to be DJ at my high school radio station in Bellaire, Ohio more then 20 years ago. I had a blast, and thought briefly of a career in the local station. But then I got on at the library and that's where I stayed for 15 years.

My hubby still says I have a "radio" voice. lol

Well, don't know what else to say here, so any questions, feel free to ask.

Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy your stay! I also pursued a career as a DJ out of high school, but so many stations were switching to satellite feeds it was just too hard to get anywhere. Now I moonlight at it on weekends.

ex DJ here too...I did the highschool radio thing then did Midnight - 6 at a local AM station that played mostly country b/c the only people up at that time were truck drivers and lonely old women...I was 18 and wanted to rock so I quit and started playing drums in a rock band. I wish I had stuck with it...I still miss it
