Yeah right. I'm still pissed they dicked that movie out of nominations.

It won thunderous applause during the interpretive dance where they did the symbol like on the poster It should've gotten something for Best Original Screenplay. Come on...SNAKES...on a PLANE!

Damn shame, cuz that was one of the most fun movies I've seen in a long time.

Re: Oscars 2007

Snakes...on a plane...how much more original can you get? Yet year after year, Hollywood fails to recognize true genius when they see it, opting instead to reward "art" and "depth" rather than B-level popcorn fare that entertains many more people. When you have a bonafide badass superstar, sex in an airplane lavatory, dozens of gory deaths, and a plot with more holes than a Kevin Federline condom, how can you not get an Oscar nomination? A true travesty, and one that should generate debate for years to come.

Until next time, take care of yourselves, and to hell with them motherfucking snakes.

Re: Oscars 2007

Fuck art and depth. If I want that I'll go to a fucking museum. I go to movies to be entertained, to have a good time cheering on a hero, be wowed by effects, and basically have fun. People who go to movies because of great cinematography, wonderful direction, etc irritate me. That's why I hate movie critics. They're not WATCHING the movie. Their watching the components that went into it.

That's why the best movies never actually win. And that's why I never watch awards shows.

Re: Oscars 2007

I was extremely annoyed that The Shawshank Redemption didn't win anything the year it was nominated. Ugh, such a travesty. Academy people are retarded sometimes.

The peoples are old? They're not just peoples...it's Randy "nominated 17 times for an Oscar" Newman and James Fucking Taylor! Musical icons!! Randy "short people got no reason" Newman! It doesn't come any better than those two...except that song sucked donkey balls! Ewwwwwww...I wanted to kill myself too...the only worse song was the one Celine sang...what a poor excuse for a Canadian she is...worse than Bryan Adams...but we've already apologized for him!!

Re: Oscars 2007

I'm so happy that Alan Arkin won for Little Miss Sunshine. That movie should have won for Best Picture. But I was happy that Martin Scorsese (sp) won for Best Director. It's about fucking time he won.
