No other reason to watch than to see what Ellen DeGeneres does.
And the ultimate awesome moment would be if Clint Eastwood beat Martin Scorcese for Best Director AGAIN  Probably won't happen though.

Random trivia...at 31, Kate Winslet is the youngest actress ever to receive 5 Oscar nominations. She probably won't win tonight though because everyone's creaming their pants for Queen Helen Mirren.

OMFG it's starting! People are clapping! And we have a montage of a bunch of filmmaking people trying to be funny and stuff! And that kid who was nominated was like OMG.
Do you think Martin Scorcese will cry if he loses tonight? Not that he will lose, but y'know.
I guess they're doing this so that everyone can get into their seats before Ellen takes the stage. And now there's thunderous applause because they thought it was gonna end but now it's just awkward...oh cool, it's done.

Oooh...I spaced out during the acceptance speech. Now it's Maggie Gyllenhaal talking about the Special Funky Film Stuff Oscars. Something about a green screen/blue screen and she was proud to be part of that wild night of movie science nerds. So sincere.
Now there's some interpretive dancing going on...and cut to commercial.
