Star Trek: The Experience closing down shop

http://www.cnn.com/2008/TRAVEL/09/01....ap/index.html

Anyone been there while at Vegas? The pricetag was a bit hefty but I went there twice in my youth...very fun times. This could spell the beginning of the end for Star Trek unless JJ Abrams pulls a miracle out of his ass with next May's Star Trek movie.

The end of Star Trek is a bit melodramatic. You'll never see the end of Star Trek. There will be novels on a regular basis. Comics. Eventually you'll even see a new series. But that'll take a while. Star Trek spent 20+ years on TV since the 80's before it dropped with the end of "Enterprise." It's a cultural phenomenon. It will be around for a good long while, always changing forms.

I sure hope so, I'm still sad that they cancelled Enterprise just when the storylines were getting really good. I thought Nemesis wasn't that bad of a movie but you could tell that they were running out of ideas, and that it was like "Wrath of Khan Lite". If the new movie is even moderately successful we might not have to wait too long for a new series to get back on the tube.
