So yeah, apparently Faye Dunaway took exception to the Duffster playing Bonnie in a "Bonnie and Clyde" remake and said something along the lines of why didn't they cast a real actress. This was Hilary's response:
"I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don't even know who she is," she told Daily 10 on the set of The Ghost Whisperer. "I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too." She went on to say, "It’s not really like taken off of the movie, it’s taken off the true story of Bonnie and Clyde. So the movie was adjusted slightly by how they wanted to do it and this is kind of like the true events of how everything went down."
Like, OMG. Like, what does she think the ORIGINAL Bonnie and Clyde was fucking based on? A fairy tale?
If I were Faye Dunaway, I'd bust out that wire hanger and rip Hilary's weave out of her airhead.
And I'm still asking myself the most important question of all: Hilary Duff has fans?

I read that yesterday. Was displeased. Faye Dunaway is a very good actress.

I don't think it would have been such an issue if the Duffster had left it at the comment about her fans not knowing who Faye Dunaway is. That would have been a perfect retort to a comment that wasn't warranted. To me though, her comment about Faye's age and looks was just rude.
Ugh, I haven't even looked to see who is playing Clyde.

Yeah, but let's face it, Dunaway appears to have started it. Isn't she a little old to be starting shit like that?
I would have preferred an actual physical fight. My money would be on Faye. She knows how to wield a wire hanger and she's got that cold assed death stare.
Seriously though, you are right. I think I just wanted to gripe more about them remaking Bonnie and Clyde. Oh, and Hilary saying her movie is based on a true story. Still no answer on what Faye Dunaway/Warren Beatty's version is based on.

PFFFFFT! HER fans probably think "Bonnie and Clyde" are Jay-Z and Beyoncé. I'd be stunned if Duff has ever even SEEN the Dunaway/Beatty version.
I wouldn't worry. You think Duff's version is going to have five of its stars nominated for Oscar for the same movie? NO. Will this new version likely be in the top 250 movies of all time as voted by IMDB members? NO. Will it one day be named one of the greatest movies ever by the AFI? NO. I think Midas summed it up best - Faye maybe shouldn't have said anything but is she really saying anything most people aren't already thinking?
By the way, the CHILD playing Clyde is named Kevin Zegers. His big claims to fame are "Wrong Turn", "Zoom" with Tim Allen, and four separate "Air Bud" movies.
Christ, I wish I could write worth a damn so maybe we could get a movie that isn't just raping everything I grew up with.
Speaking of raping everything you grew up with, anyone going to see the remake of Friday the 13th?
Besides Thomas.
HELL NO. If I wanna see stuff I've already seen, I'll just see the one I've seen again. VERY rarely is a remake or retread better than the original anyhow. You'd think they'd learn by now.
(I say VERY rarely above because as good as David Janssen was on TV, the Harrison Ford film of "The Fugitive" kicked major butt.)
