Twilight and Watchmen

I'm not making two posts about these movies.

Have you seen Twilight? Like it? Hate it? I love Robert Pattinson and I loved the books and I'm excited for the new movies.

I actually took the time to buy the whole Watchmen graphic novel and I'm a geek as with Twilight. I'm excited for the movie and I know it's going to be freaking A-MAZING. Who's going to see it? Who's going to watch it in IMAX? I'm excited!!!

Re: Twilight and Watchmen

Twilight annoys me for some reason. I read a couple of pages of the first book, and I was just like, "Meh."

I'm all over Watchmen though. I'm gonna scrounge up the money to go see it.

Watchmen looks good. I think they have the series in tradepaperback format so maybe I'll sneak by Borders and read it first.

Re: Twilight and Watchmen

They should have the whole graphic novel as one....you might find a better deal. I paid full price from a comic book store. Dummy me.

I'm going to see The Watchmen in IMAX! I've NEVER seen an IMAX movie before, so I wonder what this'll be like.

Re: Twilight and Watchmen

I saw the Watchmen in IMAX and it was fantastic. Very long, though.....2 hours and 43 minutes long. And for IMAX, they didn't show many previews....just one for the new Harry Potter Movie.

If you like a good story line with very few plot holes, this is a great movie. Just about everything that happened in the comic happened in the movie which is always great. I noticed some things got cut out or changed....but you'll be able to find out what was missing and what was changed if you read the comic.

And also....there's lots of nudity in the movie....when I say nudity, I mean penis. You can call it that....but I don't know what to call when it when it's kind of unreal? I dunno....but that's what a lot of people didn't like about the movie....penis.

But don't let it spoil the movie! It's still great.

I haven't seen the movie and don't feel any urgent need to do so before a DVD release but REALLY? Do people really still get all bent when a penis is on the screen? I don't get that. And I know it's more men than women. And I really don't get that as we tend to see our OWN on a daily basis. Not to mention the fact that you know the same people that bitch about it are probably watching porn at home. I guess penis is only gay when it's artistic.

If I got all huffy just because a penis came within sight, I wouldn't be able to watch some really great movies. I couldn't watch:

- The Player (with Tim Robbins - kicks ass)
- The Life Of Brian
- Fight Club
- South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut
- Orgazmo (hey, *I* think it's funny)

I'm sure there are more that I'm just not remembering at the moment and one I still won't mention because I still refuse to ruin it for anyone even almost 20 years later. I'm just not going to let the sight of some guy's rod ruin a good movie for me.

Hell, I think more actors should whip it out. Show some balls and show some balls. Let's see who's REALLY a sex symbol and who I can ridicule and claim I'm WAY bigger than. I can tell you from past viewing experiences that David Bowie and Kevin Bacon are safe. Jesus, they look like tripods.

I've never gotten why it is so taboo to show a guy's wang onscreen. Lord knows that no one has any problem with showing a chick's tits, ass, and snatch in a big major movie.

Well, I'm taking the night off on Friday, so I'm going to go to Borders and read "Watchmen" before I see it.

ROFLrazzi summed up why I won't see "Twilight":

Penis is really art in this movie.....it's so unreal it's art, yet people make a big deal because it's in the shape of a real p33n. Jesus, people make a big deal when I say it's okay to see penis in movies that aren't pornos and maybe there's just not enough.

Watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
