Re: Weekend Movie Review. What Did Ya See? How Was It?
Revive the thread!
So after watching all the "Downfall" parodies on You Tube (and if you don't know what I'm talking about, go to You Tube and type in "Downfall Parodies"), I decided it was high time to watch the movie. I wasn't disappointed. Also known as "Der Untergang", the movie shows the last days of Hitler in his bunker. Bruno Ganz as Hitler is compelling and convincing to the point that you almost, ALMOST feel sorry for him...until he starts spouting off about ethnic cleansing. Word is that Ganz studied old soundbites of Hitler to get his accent and stuff down pat.
Ulrich Matthes plays Joseph Goebbels, and just totally scares the fuck out of you with that dead eye stare. What happens later in the movie between his wife and their children just made my jaw drop in horror.
All in all, an excellent flick if you're into World War II and foreign movies. There is no option for English dubbing, so you're stuck reading subtitles, but you really don't even have to keep up with those to know what is going on.
I also watched "Wigstock: the Movie", which is a completely entertaining documentary about Wigstock and the drag queens that participate. It's from the 90s, and Wigstock no longer happens, but it is still quite a bit of fun.

I watched Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. Super cute movie!!! And don't go see it hungry. Bad idea because I totally hit up Krystals afterward. And there are some dirty jokes meant for adults and the voices of everyone was fun to pick out in the movie. It was awesome and I definitely recommend watching it.
Re: Weekend Movie Review. What Did Ya See? How Was It?
Seems Claire Danes doesn't believe in eyebrows in this movie.

I enjoyed that film far more than I expected. I've never been fond of Danes but she didn't make me want to puke in this movie. I also think this may be one of the funniest performances DeNiro has ever given. The screen shines a little brighter every scene he's in.

Yes, he was fucking hysterical.
I also liked all the ghosts hanging around.

Saw Zombieland and Jennifer's Body. Woody Harrelson, yes. Megan Fox, NO!
I should've known that after her epic fail of hosting the season premiere of Saturday Night Live.

Megan Fox always looks unwashed to me. Dunno why. I feel that if I touch her, my hand will come away all dirty and oily.

Enjoy the syphilis.
Speaking of that unwashed piece of trash, I had to suffer through part two of "Transformers" last night. I wanted to gouge out my eyeballs, and that is putting it mildly. Even Jason said it sucked, and this is coming from an almost five year old who lives for action movies!
I also saw "Drag Me To Hell", which was slightly predictable, but still rather fun.
