Re: Weekend Movie Review. What Did Ya See? How Was It?
Definitely not as good as the first two. They're going to make a Shrek 4 and 5 and call it quits, methinks. Still very entertaining and had a few belly laughs.

Just got back from seeing Waitress. It was a chick flick, but really kinda weird. The characters were all well written and acted really well, but not a whole lotta action and it was just...unusual.
Re: Weekend Movie Review. What Did Ya See? How Was It?
This week we saw:
Ratatouille...cute, not as good as most of the other Pixar films though.
Live Free Or Die Hard...awesome--nerds with guns are scary. Probably a DVD purchase in the future.
Hot Fuzz...HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Saw "Holes". Good movie, very interesting.
Saw "Pan's Labyrinth". It is more than interesting, I felt like I was tripping balls and I didn't even smoke anything. Good movie though.

Saw Priscilla, Queen of the Desert finally. If the actors weren't really gay in real life, they could've fooled me

Actually, the truth of it is that Rice thought those chicks were pretty hot until the wigs starting coming off. He's off somewhere now scrubbing his junk with a Brillo pad and shaving his eyes.
There's also the whole jealousy issue because Terence Stamp makes a better woman than Rice does.

I'm trying to convince him that one of Guy Pearce's costumes would be great on him for Halloween. He refuses to cooperate though.
I love this movie. Personally, I think it's WAY better than "To Wong Foo". The only issue I have now though is that when I watch "The Matrix", I imagine Hugo Weaving in a wig.
Forgot to add that I finally got my hands on "Letters From Iwo Jima". I've been dying to see this movie. I'll let you know how it is.
And to round out the movies we rented, we also have "Howl's Moving Castle", "The Seven Year Itch", and "How to Marry A Millionaire". I have a feeling NewRo will have some choice words for the latter two.

Hey, it's your brain absorbing it, not mine. I say go for it.
For those of you unaware of the origin of Jessica's statement, I don't get the appeal of Marilyn Monroe. I realize many people love her. Some people even get a little scary about her. Like Elvis fans but for a stacked blonde. And hey. If that's your thing, run with it. Run like the frickin' wind. Run like a CANDLE in the frickin' wind. But I don't get it. I've played her music on my live show and I still don't get it. I just didn't think she was all that particularly talented outside of her bra. Sorry.
If it's any consolation, I get the same thing about still being a Duran Duran fan. It's hard to be a straight male Duran Duran fan these days. But I put up with it because I know I'm still gonna listen to it no matter what. You see what I'm saying? That's what I'm saying. What am I saying? I don't know.

Midas and I saw the Simpsons movie tonight. It was okay, but not as funny as a lot of episodes we've seen. Midas said it was a lot of hype for just being okay. On the upside, there was violence, nudity and drug usage. Midas gives props for that.
