Re: Weekend Movie Review. What Did Ya See? How Was It?
Saw "Letters From Iwo Jima". I think it's like the best depressing movie I've seen in a while. Those Japanese guys were pretty much fuct, eh?

I watched David Fincher's "Zodiac" last night. It's a movie that doesn't really have your typical sugarcoated feel-good ending where everything's wrapped up in a neat little package. Just like the case in real life. And for a film that ran 2:38, I found it went by very quickly.
You've got a parade of decent actors to marvel at - Jake Gyllenhaal, Robert Downey, Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Edwards in a great toupee that must have made him feel 20 years younger, and kick-ass Brian Cox. And you've got a director who takes such loving shots of the San Francisco skyline that I think he probably tried to hump it later. Ah, hell, just rent it. If you don't like it, foo on you.

We saw Apocalypto last night. It was interesting, but not spectacular. And a part near the end annoyed me. But it was pretty cool how Drunkass Gibson used an original language again and all that.

Finally got a hold of "300" from the library. That movie fucking rocked on all levels. Hella good shit. Xerxes kind of freaked me out though with all that drag queen makeup.
We also have "Blades of Glory", but we'll watch that tonight. Well, Rice will watch it and I'll fall asleep.

Chooch and I Just came back from seeing Rob Zombie's "Halloween".
The movie at first told of Michael Myer's Childhood, the murders, his time at the sanitarium, and finally the Slasher parts we are all used to. Zombie pretty much stayed true to the original storyline, but if you like the Halloween movies that John Carpenter did (And Chooch and I are avid horror movie fans!), You'll enjoy Zombie's version as well.

the wife and I rented Blades of Glory last night and it was just as they said above ^^ a sports underdog movie with weak jokes but I did laugh out loud a few times...being a figure skating fan I loved seeing Scott Hamilton in it as well as Brian Boitano, Dorothy Hamill and Peggy Fleming.
Tonight we're renting The Pursuit of Happyness....I'll let ya know what I think...

I watched this Friday over at my sister's house...I liked it; probably will purchase it at some point.
Yesterday my stepsister (and new roommate) wanted to see Mr. Bean's Holiday. I thought it was meh. Okay for kids I guess. My brother-in-law and I concluded that Mr. Bean is autistic and it's not nice to make fun of autistic people. The dance sequence was funny though.
Going to see Balls Of Fury this afternoon. Looking forward to it.
