Movies and TV shows of Our LivesDiscuss new and old theatrical, DVD/VHS and TV-based releases as well as discuss your favorite TV shows, game shows, dramas, sitcoms...all right here!
I may as well dish. Here's the list of shows I watch regularly:
- Chuck (fun and harmless)
- Heroes (picking up speed now)
- Bones (I got sucked in watching the first two seasons on DVD)
- Reaper (which is easily my choice for best new show of the season for Ray Wise's presence alone)
- Bionic Woman (although this is already starting to slip for me...it may not be much longer)
- Life (I hope this survives. It's far more interesting than I thought it would be)
- South Park (although pretty much only new episodes now...I've seen all the old ones)
- CSI (Vegas, of course...that's all I need)
- Moonlight (Thankfully not as cheeseball or Anne-Rice-overwrought as I expected)
- Torchwood (BBC America "Doctor Who" spinoff...very "X-Files" in plot and tone)
I WAS watching "Shark" because I dig James Woods a lot but they moved it to Sundays, changed half the cast, and started a plot line I simply don't give a damn about so I'm done. *snort* I bumped the "Shark".
I also tried my best to watch "Pushing Daisies" but just couldn't. The pilot alone just grated on my very last nerve. ABC can tell people how COOL their new show is all they want but I didn't buy into it. All I got was a narration that rivals "Blade Runner" for being annoying and a bunch of characters that I couldn't feel for one bit. So I hope this show is pushing daisies soon as well.
There. Now you know. All I need now is some new episodes of "MXC" and I'm golden. And the resurrection of "Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip". But that's only a dream.
I totally forgot about Chuck. It's not baaaaaaaaad. Just kinda....so-so. I don't know what to say about it other than I watch it when i'm bored.
This season our TV consists of: Monday: How I Met Your Mother (Neil Patrick Harris makes this show gold), The Big Bang Theory (If you aren't watching this you aren't getting enough laughs in your life) and Heroes. Occasionally we'll watch CSI: Miami but only if I feel like I can stomach David Caruso's posing in front of the camera for an hour like he's some sort of model.
Tuesday: TV-less day for me. Nothing on worth watching in my book. We gave Cavemen a try and were sadly disappointed in it. We came to the conclusion that ABC could fold up shop right now and just not be missed.
Wednesday: Criminal Minds and CSI: New York
Thursday: Smallville ( we got sucked into this one last year when I happened to turn it on by accident, and have been watching ever since. Even got all the seasons on DVD to catch up), CSI: Las Vegas and Without A Trace.
Friday: Stargate: Atlantis. God, how I miss Battlestar Galactica (retruns in January) and Stargate SG:1. Instead they give us Flash Gordon, and I wouldn't wish that show on anyone.
Sunday: The Simpsons. Family Guy.
