What Summer Movies Are You Looking Forward To?

I'm really looking forward to "Superman Returns", even though it has a horrible horrible ex soap actor as superman/clark kent.

"A Prairie Home Companion", because i'm a HUGE Robert Altman fan, and it has the kickass Meryl Streep!

M. Night Shyamalan's "Lady In The Water"! The Trailer looks AMAZING!

"Clerks II". The first one is one of my favorite films from the 90's, but i'm nervous about the sequel. I'm afraid it's been to long, but i'll definately see it

and of course, "Snakes On A Plane"!

Looking forward to The Lake House starring Sandra Bullock and Keanu "Excellent" Rieves. Haven't seen a good sappy romance in a long time.

"The DaVinci Code", which opens today. Unfortunately I can't see it until next weekend.

Excellent book. I hope the movie lives up to it.

Re: What Summer Movies Are You Looking Forward To?

I want to see

The DaVinci Code

Snakes on A Plane

The Devil Wears Prada

and Cars

I saw Poseidon last weekend, and I just LOVED it. So full of fire, and water, and oh shit moments...and they didnt waste time with character development either. I mean, c'mon...if you saw the trailer, you KNEW what was gonna happen...so who gives a crap who they are.

I enjoyed it alot.

I also want to see this. And you're right, who cares about character development? It's a remake, we KNOW the characters already. We saw them in the original, we saw them in the remade-for-tv movie, we don't need further development. It just looks like disaster movie goodness.

I also want to see Mission Impossible 3, X-Men 3, and I have to think about any others.

X-Men 3 and Superman Returns are on my "see list" unless I read that they sucked in peer reviews.

Re: What Summer Movies Are You Looking Forward To?

If I get my ass out to the movies this summer I'll probably see these films:

The DaVinci Code
X-Men 3
Nacho Libre
Snakes On A Plane

Of course it helps that I was just awarded two free movie passes at work.
