I will admit that the visuals were really cool...I enjoyed the part where Colossus threw Wolverine and where Wolverine just kept slashing at people, but my enjoyment of the movie pretty much ended there as Jess and I made fun of the rest of the movie.
I think whoever green-lighted the script is an idiot. They did what Schumacher and crew did to the Batman franchise. The X-Men movie universe is going to need a hard reboot after this fiasco. Never mind that it made $235M, it didn't deserve to.
1. They "cured" Magneto? BAH!
2. They killed off Professor X and Cyclops. That is, like, blasphemy. Now I know in the comic book world that it is possible to bring people back to life at will (see: Superman, Green Lantern, Spider-Man) but come on...
3. Rogue totally copped out. Now she'll never absorb Marvel Girl's powers and become super-strong and fly.
4. Archangel was useless in this movie.
5. I can't believe Phoenix didn't try to eat a star system or at least a small moon. Bah.
I think I'm done now. I hope that if they ever go to making a sequel to this one that they hire better screenwriters because this entire movie was bullshit
