Old School Rap/Hip Hop

Got any favourites?

My all-time favourite is 'Let Your Backbone Slide' by Maestro Fresh-Wes. It's rare that a rap song hits #1, and Maestro did just that, becoming the first ever Canadian rap artist to top the chart in Canada. A well deserved feat, cause 17 years later, and this song is still awesome!

other favourites:

'Drop the Needle', 'Conductin Thangs' and 'Stick to Your Vision' by Maestro Fresh-Wes
'Joy and Pain' and 'It Takes Two' - Rob Base and E-Z Rock
'Bust-A-Move' and 'Principal's Office' - Young MC
'Funkycoldmedina' and 'Wild Thing' - Tone Loc
'Got to Get' - Leila K (this one is probably more of a dance song)
