What new music have you bought lately?
Post about it here!
Today I bought a 2-CD compilation put out by Hi Bias Records called "House Nation". Most of the tracks are from 1988-1991, which will work well with the Lemon Orgy sets.
I also found a CD-single at Best Buy of 2004 Remixes of Ultra Nat?'s "Free" which is pretty solid. I'll probably get the new Depeche Mode CD shortly after its release Tuesday.

Re: What new music have you bought lately?
I actually BOUGHT a real CD...it's amazing...
It's Coheed and Cambria's Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume 1: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Mad
It's worth listening to....it's not much like any song related to A Favor House Atlantic...you know..the SUPER high pitched Claudio. The songs seem to have a lot more to do about revenge...a tad bit like the lyrics of My Chemical Romance's Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, but more grown up. I'd say check it out...

Re: What new music have you bought lately?
I bought a comp today called "Future Retro" which has remixes of 80's New Wave tracks. Most of them will work nicely into the Fusion sets.
I also bought Prodigy's Their Law: The Singles 1990-2005 two-disc set.

Re: What new music have you bought lately?
I bought Prince's new album today and it freakin' rocks. ICAM with NewRo saying it's a nice follow up to "Musicology". The man just gets better and better with each album. This one is funky and it has a killer sound. Even the slow jams are worth listening. I HIGHLY recommend it. Best tracks imo:
"Black Sweat"
"Fury"
"love"
"Incense and Candles"
"Love" is the funkiest tune i've heard in years!

Re: What new music have you bought lately?
I also picked up Prince's "3121". I didn't get a purple ticket. I personally think I'm owed an invite to Prince's house at this point after devoting nearly eight hours of airtime over two shows specifically to his music. Snot. What do I have to do? A frickin' weekly Prince hour? Don't even think about it.
I also picked up the new album by The Sounds, "Dying To Say This To You", and Johnny Cash's "At Folsom Prison" as a surprise for the wife. She's all Cash nuts now after seeing "Walk The Line". You can go request his version of "Personal Jesus" on Renegade Retro RIGHT NOW.

No purple ticket here either. What are your favorite tunes off "3121"? I'll have to check out his version of "Personal Jesus".

Re: What new music have you bought lately?
Now why is it that every single time I mention or love a specific song Renegade Retro plays, DunderVamp9 pulls it? Because I notice that the Johnny Cash song has been pulled from rotation on RR now!
You're a weenie, TV9.
As for my fave "3121" tracks, it's hard to say. "Fury" jumped out at me. I also like the song with Tamar called "Beautiful, Loved & Blessed" which makes me look forward to her album as well. And the title cut is just wack enough to work for me. Ah hell, the whole album's good. Period.
Edited to add: Roth joined the Snakes On A Plane bandwagon! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Re: What new music have you bought lately?
Yes, I love that damn bandwagon...if only people in this hicktown would get what I'm talking about when I randomly run around screaming, "OMG!!! SNAKES ON A PLAAAAANE!!!!!"
Anywho, I never mentioned that I bought the James Blunt Back To Bedlam CD a while back. MUCHO MUCHO awesome. Be sure to look out which copy you get if you decide to pick it up....just in case you get the non-explicit one and all. That's the blue copy I got. The black copy is the "clean" version, I think.

I just saw Blunt on something a few days ago. His speaking voice is a riot. He sounds like Davy Jones from The Monkees. I was also fortunate enough to see the video for "You're Beautiful" (finally) and was pleased with how starkly moving it was.
I'm debating going out later and picking up the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs CD.
