Al Wilson has died.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Musi....ap/index.html

Six years ago, I had the pleasure of seeing him (along with Mary Wilson of the Supremes and Brenton Wood) in concert. He was just wonderful. I had no clue that he had kidney problems from the way he was dancing around the stage and energetically singing.

RIP.

So it didn't SHOW that he had kidney problems AND he didn't TELL people he had kidney problems. Didn't show and didn't tell. Seems to be the biggest hit he ever had is a total lie.

OK, with that out of the way, it's always rough on me to see names like Al Wilson go. It's always sad when talented people who only had a brief shining career moment (to the general public anyway) won't have that again until it's their obituary. See how many Al Wilson anthologies get pumped onto the market over the next six months. I dare you.

So long, Al. You will be missed.

To add insult to injury, Paul Davis of "Cool Night" and "'65 Love Affair" fame has also departed this mortal coil.
