I need help with an 80s video...

Hey everyone,

I saw a clip from an old 80s video today while I was in a store...it was people outside someone's house. They were dressed in trenchcoats and sunglasses...very private eye'ish...and they were rooting through the persons trash trying to get information about whomever was in the house...that's all I got. I didn't hear any of the tune or anything but I definitely recognized the video and for the life of me can't think of who it was....erm...help?
