It was a tough choice between, "The Lost Boys" and "Dream A Little Dream".

"Purple Rain" and probably "Pretty In Pink". "Valley Girl" would be a close third.

Mine would be The Lost Boys, and Purple Rain. Suprisingly, my close third would have been La Bamba.

Hey, "La Bamba" is one of those cases where the soundtrack outshines the movie. Look at "Vision Quest", for crying out loud.

Well, you have to understand...

When I saw "La Bamba" in the theater, there were these two kids in there. They were probably, oh, ten or eleven. Mom and dad just dumped 'em off in a PG movie and wandered the mall. Anyhow, these fargin' kids are NARRATING the whole movie. "Ooooo, he's singing!" "He's playing the guitaaaaar!" And so on. THE WHOLE TIME.

So it gets to the scene where Valens is getting the winged guitar tattoo. So, of course, here come these kids right on cue. "It's his flying guitaaaaaaaar!" This is where my friend Chuck (the 6'4" black friend of mine of legend) stood up and yelled "No fucking shit, Sherlock! Now shut the holy fuck up!" to a torrent of cheering and applause.

I didn't really see the rest of the movie. It's hard to see from under your seat.

Purple Rain and probably LaBamba. I used to watch both those movies all the time, because Lou Diamond Phillips was hot and I used to be in love with Prince.
