Help me to find a song

I'm new to this forum and still do not know if this is the right place to post my thread here. However, I see it is a place full with people who love the retro music and my hope is you may help me with finding the singer of the following song. I have this song in an old tape, it is from the late 70's or early 80's. It is a ballad in Sam Brown's "STOP" style, and the song is performed by a woman. The lyrics are something like that:

There was a boy, there was a girl,
they walked in the house dreaming together.
Lost in sound, freedom and happiness,
they hoped the dream would last forever
.....
????
.....................Dark shadows talking

Chorus:
Never come no more,
never come no more,
never here again,
the sound of the telephohe's call !?!

...................

I mark with ? and ! words which I am not sure about. What more to say? It is a very sensitive ballad, the female voice is a little cracked.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Help me to find a song

Wow, that is a lot of useful information...unfortunately I don't know the song and I'm unable to Google it (or at least Google won't find it for me). Just didn't want you to think nobody would answer

The other moderators are DJs and should know this.

You're in the right place, Nasko!

The only info I found was at This page. It looks like something called "Requiem" perhaps? The bottom of the page has the info. Hope this helps.

That definitely looks like it, Midas. Hope that's the one you're looking for, Nasko!

Re: Help me to find a song

Midas, YOU ARE GENIUS!!! Yes, this is the song! Jesus Christ, how did you find it?! I have asked so many people, I have looked in so many sites - nothing. You should be proud and you call yourself "The retro music inspector" No kidding! You are amazing!!! Thanks you so much!

I looked in some sites and surprisingly found Karthago is a hungarian band. Considering Hungary (like Bulgaria where I am from) was a communist country back in 1983 (when the song was composed) I am not astonished English and American people whom I played this track were totally unfamiliar with it saying: "Sorry, we have never listened to this song! Are you sure this is an english or an american band?" We were living in closed world at this time, it was forbidden to listen western music, to sing in the language of the "bad capitalist" countries ... bla-bla-bla. I think you understand what I am talking about. Anyway, enough talking!

"Requiem" by Karthago! Check it out! You won't be sorry! This is a real masterpiece!

Re: Help me to find a song

I'm not a genius, but you're welcome! I googled part of the lyrics in quotes until something came up.
