Favorite Candies and Junk Foods of the 80's

Some are still being produced, some aren't. What are your faves?

One of mine was Hawaiian Punch flavored Tootsie pops. I loved those and bought the little general store in town out of them as often as I could. I also loved banana Suzy-Q's. New York Seltzer. Kahlua and Cream Ice Cream from Baskin Robbins. I'm sure I'll think of more later.

NERDS!

Actually, my co-worker had some of those today and I picked up the mini-box thinking it was empty and spilled them all over his desk

I think the 80's brought us the Cadbury Creme Eggs too, but I could be wrong. Still my favorite Easter candy.

Cookie Crisp Cereal, Pac-Man cereal...oh wait, those were nutritious breakfast foods.

I like Spree too. Oh! And Twix!

Don't forget the "Whatchamacallit" candy bar.

Kid #1: Hey, whatcha eating?
Kid #2: Whatchamacallit
Kid #1: Whatchamacallit?
Kid #2: That's right.
Kid #1: What's right?
Kid #2: The name
Kid #1: What name?
Kid #2: Whatchamacallit
Kid #1: You forgot the name??

Announcer goes through spiel

Kid #1: Can I have some of that?
Kid #2: (finishes bar) Some of what?

Re: Favorite Candies and Junk Foods of the 80's

I don't know if they were 70's or 80's, but I'll post it here anyways.

I like tart things.

Loved Lik-m-Aid
Loved Pixie Stix
Love Bottle Caps (bought a package of them last fall, they don't taste like I remember them tasting)
LOVED LOVED LOVED Tart n Tinys
Loved Lime flavored Starburst fruit chews which seems to have vanished from the pack sometime in the 80s. Maybe I should start a petition. I wonder if the green Starburst have the same effect as Green M & Ms...

Starburst, Nerds, Gobstoppers, Bonkers, Bottlecaps, Fireballs, licorice ropes (the super long ones), Twizzlers.....I'm sure there's more but I'm blanking out at the moment.

My brothers and I used to ride our bikes 2 miles into town just to buy candy at the dime store. Then we'd ride around town, eat our candy, and ride the 2 miles back home.
