Play Deep (Take 2)

My second attempt at a poll!

The Outfield - the unmistakable 80's sound. Which is your favorite tune from this band's album Play Deep?

Re: Play Deep (Take 2)

"All The Love (In The World)" for me. "Nervous Alibi" and "Say It Isn't So" are right behind.

This was a tough one. This was a great album. I wish the Outfield had been more popular. They had some great material.

I didn't know they were still doing shows. John Spinks was so explosive and unpredictable back at the start of their career that I figured they self-destructed long ago. I'm glad they still occasionally play because Tony Lewis just has a fantastic voice that needs to be used.

Re: Play Deep (Take 2)

It was a free concert. The city of Louisville has free concerts during the summer. Most of the one's this year were country artists.

Boy, Louisville must really hate its citizens.

See, now I know I'm gonna be digging out all my old Outfield CDs later. I somehow managed to amass five of them.

By the way, good job on this poll. I can't believe none of us thought of doing it before.

All the Love wins my vote, but a great album all around. I agree they didn't get enough airplay.

That surprises me since they were a UK band. I figured Britain just dumped all their music on Australia by default.

No we finally got out of that Master/Servant relationship. Now we get dumped on by the USA instead

It was probably in that period where I got brassed off with music and stopped listening for a while. Would they have been mid to late 80's ? If so, that may be why

"Play Deep" was indeed 1986.

They definitely didn't make a ripple here and even though like you, I stopped listening to current stuff around the mid to late 80's, I know this for a fact
