Favorite Live Aid moment

Some of you youngins' weren't around then (I know) but maybe you've seen the DVDs?

What's your favorite Live Aid concert - July 13, 1985 Wembley Stadium, London & JFK Stadium, Philadelphia moment or performances?

Re: Favorite Live Aid moment

The Who, Queen and Phil Collins going to both shows were my favorites. I also loved Ultravox's performance and the ending at Wembley.

I was 15 at the time, but I've never seen it.

Re: Favorite Live Aid moment

I'm going to borrow the DVDs off of the library, and I vaguely remember a few moments of the show the original time I watched. I remember Queen was Red Hot that day and his performance was totally awesome. I will be able to answer my own question better once I watch the DVDs.

Re: Favorite Live Aid moment

Queen's performance topped them all. Freddie Mercury stole the whole concert, IMHO. Also, the ending with Paul McCartney singing "Let It Be" with Pete Townsend, Bob Geldof, David Bowie and Alison Moyet was wonderful too.
I have Live Aid on DVD, cassette (I taped it off of the TV when it was on), CDs and the book. I was only 11 when it happened, but I remember watching almost the whole concert and my parents letting me stay up to watch the ending.

Phil Collins, it was real neat that he made it to both countries.

Re: Favorite Live Aid moment

I went with Queen. All the hands in the crowd during "Radio Ga Ga" still gives me chills. I voted for U2 as well. Their performance of "Bad" is still one of the most beautiful and moving concert performances I've ever seen.
