I want one , but not for anything like home protection or hunting. I want it for target shooting. And I want the one I've always loved, the AR-15. So when I finally do snap, I can do it with style.

I don't have one, nor do I intend to get one, however that could change at any moment. I'd have to take lessons/classes on how to use one properly, and if I used it for anything it would be for protection. I'm not much into hunting.
My father had a couple guns and we'd all go target shooting when we were younger. He mostly keeps them in the house for protection now though. He bought them when he and his merry band of Asian friends discovered the awesomeness that is the Second Amendment
My friend Paul has a revolver and a shotgun. We blew up propane canisters in the Nevada desert with those. Hehehe.
I would probably want to get a compact but powerful handgun.

Yes, a 45 magnum; but it has not and never will be used. We only got it 'cus it was found wrapped in a bunch of newpapers with some really ugly dishes that we hauled away from the house of a certain actor who will not be named. (but, um...he was a child actor in the 70s and has red hair - hee hee). :P
