In Other Words...DONE! FINITO! DEEP-SIXED!

This quiz seemed to get a decent reception when we were on the old board so I decided to make a new one and see how it goes.

I've reworded the titles of twenty popular hits of the 1980's. I'm willing to bet most of you are familiar with most if not all the songs I used. See if you can identify these songs AND the artists that sang them. Some of them are pretty easy, a few of them are a little nasty. Good luck with it

FINISHED!

Oh, and let's get this out of the way now. #12 is NOT "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd. Thank you.

1. All of us have obtained the rhythm
- "We Got The Beat" - The Go-Go's - MOO

2. Don’t touch me! Touch yourself!
- "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" - Georgia Satellites - TV9

3. Nookie shed
- "Love Shack" - The B-52's - PAPERGIRL

4. I’m driven by a great need! Nah, not really.
HINT: Flamboyant Brit rocker, 1982, title has four words
- "Desperate But Not Serious" - Adam Ant - MIDAS

- "Turning Japanese" - The Vapours - PAPERGIRL

6. A late-hour layover in Thailand
- "One Night In Bangkok" - Murray Head - MIDAS

7. A select few enjoy the tropics
- "Some Like It Hot - The Power Station - PANDORA

8. Permanent souvenirs everywhere I look
- "Always Something There To Remind Me" - Naked Eyes - FUSSBUDGET (I know he knows Naked Eyes did it.)

9. Cyanide-coated pointy stick
- "Poison Arrow" - ABC - BOBBY

10. Beneath our galaxy
- "Under The Milky Way" - The Church - MOO

11. I wish I was Josey Wales
- "I Wanna Be A Cowboy" - Boys Don't Cry - MIDAS

12. Amply stoned
- "High Enough" - Damn Yankees - TV9

13. It’s not QUITE heaven but it’s pretty close
- "Almost Paradise" - Ann Wilson and Mike Reno - PANDORA

14. The era of decadent ballrooms
- "Dance Hall Days" - Wang Chung - BOBBY

15. Lower the temperature immediately!
- "Cool It Now" - New Edition - PANDORA

16. I confirm the existence of woeful ballads (that cause sobbing)
- "There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)" - Billy Ocean - MIDAS

17. Oracle of this era
HINT: 1987, title song from critically-adored double album
- "Sign 'O' The Times - Prince - MIDAS

18. Similar to a plea to God
- "Like A Prayer" - Madonna - MOO

19. Move that north African palace from side to side rhythmically
- "Rock The Casbah" - The Clash - FUSSBUDGET

20. An excessive flow of civil liberties

Yes and yes. I knew #3 would be gone the moment someone saw it.

And you have a spare answer to go. Lucky you.
