Yay!!! You done good Thom. No more birds over here either...well...at least on the radio there isn't...there is one on my patio taunting my cat right now, but there isn't anything you can do about that. lol
Well, it was fun as it lasted. I don't like the change, because I have dialup and i loved listening to the station, and I know I'm not the only one who has dialup. But I know it has to be done for the best of the station, I wish you could reconsider though.
You may not be the only one who has dial-up, but you ARE the only one who said they did. Nobody else has bothered to respond with that answer. Adding in that I have rec'd emails from listeners who want me to upgrade and the choice becomes clear, I can't hold back any longer. I held back for the last year for dial-up users who complained after the change last year. I can't hold it back every year for what seems to be a very small group. I'm being left behind by my partners AND my competition.

Hey, there's no bad feelings from me, I know you hve to do what you have to do to keep in competion with others. I'll figure out something to hear the station. I do have a neighbor, who is a friend of mine that I could go over and listen to the station. She is also a huge fan of 80s retro and she LOVES Def Leppard. So if I can see if I can come to her place to listen, you might have a new member soon.
After repeated difficulties broadcasting at 64K, from chirps, to signal losses, I have said "fuck it" and reverted the stream back to 32K. I think the only way this machine will stream it correctly is if I format and reload it to compensate for the hardware upgrades of 2 weeks ago, and that just isn't even on the radar.
32K has been good enough until now, I'll just keep it there. It's better than fighting the machine to keep broadcasting at all.

Whoohoo!!!! I can listen to it again without bugging my friend to see if I can come over to her apartment to listen.
I know you really wanted to switch to 64K, TV9, but this makes me happy.
I took the plunge yet again tonight to test the waters of 64K. I'm bound and determined that after 10 years I'll finally upgrade the damned stream just a little.
Let me know if you have troubles.
