It's gonna happen, folks! As we've seen no signs from anywhere that our stations are going to survive beyond July 15, we're gonna count down the top 50 power ballads this weekend - ALL by YOUR vote! Yes indeedy!
The countdown begins on Saturday, July 14, at 1pm Eastern. I realize that's 10am for the west coasters. But it's the only time we're guaranteed at this point that's available as I'll be wrapping up Party At Ground Zero this weekend as well. That and we have no idea if July 15 is even going to be actually available to us as a broadcast day. And, as you may have figured out by now, I'll be your host for this plethora of power as our Beerless Leader finds himself out of town at the moment.
But oh yes. It's STILL gonna happen. And looking over the final vote, I have to say this is a damn FINE list of songs you folks voted for. So make your plans to sit your asses in front on your computer for what may very well be the final hurrahs for both stations...and it starts right here on Renegade Retro with the Top 50 Power Ballads. SPREAD THE WORD!
Oh, and DO watch this space. If we somehow get that 4AM Miracle and stay on the air, this could easily change. Why? Because if your ol' pal TV9 has a shot at hosting this, we're delaying it until he's home again to do so. When we know more, YOU'LL know more! Owwww!

I'm glad you are able to do your ballad show...my family is in town so we might only be able to catch the tail end of the show but will definitely be there for PAGZ.

Well, this power ballads show may very well be delayed now. I've said from the start (because TV9 told me to ) that if there was any chance of him doing the show himself that we should delay it. I consider this a prime opportunity for him to host it. I think he SHOULD host it. It was his brainchild from the very beginning and I think HE should host on HIS station.

I'm still mildly concerned. It's all well and good for Live365 to thumb their noses at SoundExchange, but if SX gets in their heads to get an injunction against them, it could take all of a day to shut Live down with no warning.

OK, folks, we're taking the risk. This show is indefinitely DELAYED. TV9's gonna bite the bullet and hope we're all still on the air when he gets home so he can host this himself. As soon as there's a date and time set again, you'll see it right here.
