For those who don't come directly into the forums, or directly into either City of Glass Radio or Renegade Retro, you will notice a change in the main website that leads you to either station. For those who just direct link to the forums or the stations, that entry is of course located at
http://www.retroradionetwork.com and usually has simply a link to either Renegade Retro or City of Glass.
After a substantial period of testing and tweaking, I have just today brought the new front end online. This new front end is light years beyond the old front end. Instead of simple links to either station bringing you into either station's main website, the front end is now fully integrated with this forum. Your forum profile is active from the moment you visit
http://www.retroradionetwork.com with the news posts from the forums being front page headlines. A random poll is visible to draw people's interest. Most recently posted threads are listed. Information about your own PM's is available. Links to the stations as well as selected station pages are available. Links to the chatroom are available immediately. Lists of upcoming events are available.
Essentially, the new front end is now the central hub of the Network Website, rather than a simple link page to the individual stations.
I am saving up money to purchase a unique style for the front end, that will also be applied to the forums by default. Our users can, of course, change that style if they so desire. All the styles from the forum apply to the front end as well. Unfortunate, custom styles for vBulletin boards range in the $250 range, so it will be some time before that is available.
Please look it over, and let me know how you like it. I believe it makes us look more professional, and puts us more in line with current website designs.
