I was reading a few sports columns and the writers made a good point about the Patriots running up the score...why not do it with your second string? What if Tom Brady or Randy Moss or one of the key offensive linemen got hurt? It was an impressive victory, but in a way, it was also really stupid.

Did they at least hit him hard when he got sacked those three times? Plus Manning fumbled to basically end the game right?
I couldn't see anything, we don't get CBS in very well

OK, you did. Best football game I've watched since the Patriots-Eagles Super Bowl. Both teams fought like mad motherfuckers. I give the Colts props for a hard-fought game.
And the refs did their very best to hand this game to the Colts, with 146 penalty yards against the Patriots in 10 penalties, several of which (Example, Moss, jumping to catch the ball, the Colts defender has his arm around Moss' waist, and MOSS is called for offensive pass interference) even the announcers were calling bogus. Those penalties led to points on the Colts board. The Patriots even had to challenge a completed pass ruling that the Colts receiver was very, very clearly out of bounds on. The Colts? 30 yards in penalties, including the refs blatantly ignoring a pass interference wen a Colts player hooked his arm around Faulk preventing him from getting to the ball.

Jesus Christ on a stale cracker. What a bunch of fuckwits.
It's still satisfying to see Indy lose though.

No idea. It is against league rules to do it, and the Colts have supposedly been warned about it before. Tagliabue in 2005 even sent out a memo warning against this and advising that there would be severe penalties, including forfeiture of draft picks, for teams caught doing it.

It's possible it could have been their error. I heard it during the game as well and I thought they had accidentally fed an audio feed twice through the same channel causing that echo.
But I'll be happy to see the Colts busted for it if it's not.
I'm surprised it got shut down so quick, when New England had their little Spygate the press was all over it.
I doubt extra crowd noise would have helped, but the whole crowd suddenly going silent thing could have been because of the audio system or just because the crowd was like "WTF is that sound" and shut up for a few to see if they could identify it. Not that it matters now.
