He's also right about the bad officiating. If you want to see just how bad it was, read that article. I have NEVER in my life seen such bad calling in a game. It really did seem like the refs were doing all they could to let Indy win this game. That the Pats still somehow won is awe-inspiring.

I loved this article. I truly did. I love my Lions and I love my Browns (both of which seem to finally be emerging from their cocoons a bit) and I wish greatness upon them one day. But I've loved watching a former Michigan Wolverine stick that football up everyone's ass this year...especially that cornpone fuck Indy quarterback. If the Lions and/or Browns make the playoffs, I won't be too sad to see them lose as long as Brady wins the whole damn thing. The Patriots games are some of the best football I've seen all year.
I WANT a jillion points on the board. Nothing makes me happier than a game with 146 combined points on the scoreboard and over a thousand total yards of offense on the day. I want 17 combined interceptions, 10 fumbles (9 for a loss of possession), and at LEAST four helmets flying off during hits. And New England delivers this every week this season.
New England up 42-7 now. The last couple TDs have been "Screw you" TDs. Way to go!

I really am starting to wonder if any team can stop the Pats this year. I'm still worried about the Pats-Steelers match up in Dec, but the Steelers lost to the damned JETS today. The 1-8 JETS!!!! I am not one to think the Pats will go undefeated. I fully expect they will lose a game by the end of the regular season simply because the last game or 2 they will pull out their starters. But if they don't? Then I don't think they can be stopped.

I'm amazed that a depleted Philly team has been able to give the Pats such a good game so far.

The Eagles came out swinging from the word go. VERY agressive play calling by the Eagles. I think this was a better game than the Indy-Pats game, simply because the refs didn't appear blatantly biased (although the offensive pass interference call against Moss negating his touchdown was crap. Not even the announcers, after multiple replays, could see how the ref got that.) The Pats hung in for the win. Hopefully Belichik will ream the defense over toight's game and close up the weakness on the inside that was exposed. Otherwise that will come back to haunt them in the next few weeks.
And I'll take this opportunity to enjoy the fact that the Pats have clinched the AFC East title already. GO PATS!!!

Madden and Michaels were harping on how this would provide a blueprint for beating the Pats and how it gave everyone in the league hope. I think if they really wanted to be nigh-invincible they need to work on the run game, Brady got sacked a couple times so the O-line isn't absolutely superhuman and they need to mix it up more...though the RB did pull through with a rushing TD so that ain't so bad.

I heard them talking about this "blueprint" and have to laugh. It'd be a blueprint if you didn't expect the Patriots to go over this game frame by frame on the film and adjust for everything that went wrong. That's ridiculous to believe. If any team plays the Patriots thinking "We'll just do what the Eagles did and we'll have the game" then they are almost certainly going to lose. Madden and Michaels should know this instead of going on about how the Eagles have created the blueprint for beating the Patriots. Made 'em sound dumb.

Meanwhile, the Miami Dolphins got shut out tonight, 3-0, by the Pittsburgh Steelers, sending their record to an abysmal 0-11. I don't know what's sadder, the fact that the Dolphins are 0-11 or that Pittsburgh couldn't score until there were 17 seconds left in the game.

I'd call the second option as the sadder. This is the team that's supposed to give the Pats a REAL run in December. That's 2 bad weeks in a row for them.
