Are ya ready for some football? NFL 06/07 has begun!
Hey football fans!
Are ya diggin' the hell outta the new season? I watched Thursdays opening game and it was kinda a yawner but it's been a pretty great Sunday so far...Eagles beat the Texans (sorry Papergirl!) and now the Cowboys are losing to Jacksonville...Dallas just got a TD to make it 24-17 so they aren't dead yet...and in an hour it's Manning vs Manning as Eli's (and my) Giants take on Peyton's Colts.
I love the fall...football and soon hockey...I'll miss the summer but I love the sports at this time of year!!
GO GIANTS!!

^ Probably because your idiot GM decided to take some defensive dude instead of Reggie Bush or Vince Young. THAT was brilliant
I don't have a favorite team this season really. Maybe da Bears, since I'm here...

Poor Brett Favre. He deserves better but his ego and bad general management got in the way...

^ Yeah, I guess it's better to not get pissed about your team until you actually have to But that was a ludicrously STUPID decision.

The Giants did NOT deserve to beat the Eagles today...they totally got outplayed...but man, what a finish!! Down 24-7 and to come back and beat them in OT!! That's such a great rivalry, plus one my good friends is a HUGE Eagles fan so it's just that much sweeter for me

Yesterday was the most incredibly boring game ever on MNF...and I wasn't even watching the game. Pittsburgh sucked it up and Jax wasn't much better. 9-0 on national (ish, anyway, being on ESPN) TV? You guys suck.

Now, I really don't care who wins what in football because it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but I do like to watch good football. The game I watched today (San Diego at Seattle) was terrible! San Diego played like they had their thumbs up their asses and Seattle was botching all kinds of opportunities, and the penalties and clock management left something to be desired. Basically, after the two-minute warning, San Diego had awesome field position, but after a couple dumb penalties and losing a minute and a half (not spiking the ball, not hurrying to the line, generally stuff that pisses me off), Seattle bails them out by not playing a full prevent and letting Rivers toss a 40 yard TD pass to a wide-open dude in the end zone. GAH!
I hope the playoffs don't suck

My son Randall went to see the Cincy @ Denver game yesterday. While I'm pleased with the outcome (24-23 Denver won), I do not think we'll go far in the playoffs, if we make it. I did, however, LOVE when the Bengals reciever caught that last touchdown and mocked our crowd with a salute....then they botched the point after

Hmmmm...by the numbers, it would probably be Chargers vs. Bears/Saints in the Uber Bowl.
