And so is the joke that is the NY Islanders. Can you believe it? 15 years? That's craziness. He sure as hell better be a combo of Patrick Roy/Martin Brodeur for that long and that kind of money! What if he doesn't live up to their hopes? They're screwed trying to unload him...who'd take on a player with a contract like that?
And then Bobby Clarke goes and offers Ryan Kessler 1.9 million! He's worth about 900K only...now the Canucks either have to match (which I think they're going to) or they only get a 2nd round draft pick in return! WTF is happening in the "new and improved NHL"??
