I'm interested to see who McTavish puts in net...if he goes with Conklin it may give him the boost he needs after the HUGE gaff last game and he may have unbridled determination to win at all costs. Personally that is what I would do...but then again, McT was the last player to play in the NHL without a helmet so who knows what his scrambled little brain will think. Did you see his press conference after the game? He started off by saying "I just want to say no questions about goaltending"...it was pretty funny. Glad to see he still has a sense of humour. The really sad thing about Game 1 and Ty Conklin is that everyone will remember him giving the puck away and solidly put the blame for the loss on him which is really unfair. People won't remember that Edmonton had a 3-0 lead late in the 2nd period and they squandered that away.
Do I think the Oil can pull it off? Yes I do. I have faith that the team is more than Roloson...however, goaltenders do win you championships so I guess it's wait and see...
And one more thought on the Finals...how the Hell does Mick McGeough get the reffing gig?? I'm telling you, the guy is one of the worst refs in the league!! Second only to Denis LaRue...
Anyway, GO OILERS. I still believe they can do it!

I just watched Game 4. That game-winner by Recchi was pretty sweet, considering it came off a broken play. Markkenen played extremely well, which makes me think that Mac made the right decision. I believe that Conklin got a raw deal because he came in so COLD that he never had time to warm up, especially under the new rules where goalies can't warm up the way relief pitchers do. But at this point, it would be foolish not to keep Markkenen in net.
This would be the fourth Southeast Division team to make it to the Finals and the second to win it all. For an allegedly sucky division, that ain't half bad.
