So like 10 minutes ago, I noticed we had a more than usual number of guests and they were all checking archives. I thought we couldn't view archives, so it makes no sense. Weirdness.

Thats really weird, cause I just logged out, and tried to see them as a guest, and I couldnt.

It's most likely search spiders trying to access those parts. Most likely google. They don't actually SEE the archives, as they are guests. It just displays that way.

It usually designates them AS spiders, though. Those were all "Guest". Not that it couldn't be spiders, I guess, but it USUALLY singles them out.

I think it depends on the bot that's doing the crawling. I've seen some ID'ed as guests on several occasions.

Well, even if they were bots, at least someone's visiting the board. Damn shame spiders can't post.
