E-mail notification

It appears that I am getting e-mail notification on any thread that I post in. I don't see where to edit that particular function. Where am I missing it?
Thanks, cs

Re: E-mail notification

Yeah, this feature is nice, but if you post in a lot of threads, will result in a lot of incoming email. In some ways it's good, because for those who don't post a lot, it will let them know that responses are waiting in the threads they have taken part in. This should help encourage people to return and post more.

Re: E-mail notification

I'm still getting e-mail notifications. Not on every thread I'm posting in but some. Could you check this out?
Thanks!

Hi csme - I got this from the FAQ :

If you post a new thread, or reply to an existing thread, you can choose to be notified by email when someone else replies to that thread. You can also choose to receive email notifications of new posts in a thread without posting in that thread, by clicking the 'Subscribe to this thread' link displayed in the thread page.

If you choose to stop receiving email notifications from a thread, you can turn off the option by either editing your post, or by unsubscribing from the thread here.

Only registered users may receive email notification, and they can set whether they want to receive email notification by default by editing their options.

Email notification is also referred to as 'Thread Subscription'.

It is a little confusing to say the least... I 'occasionally' get an email about a thread reply, but it is rare.

If you have a particular thread that you get the notification for, maybe you could choose the unsubscribe option as detailed above ? (If it is already unsubscribed, maybe try subscribing - saving, and then unsubscribing again ?).

Then ask someone to post in there, and see if you still get the email. The post can always be deleted. Just a thought

Re: E-mail notification

I did that the other day and I'm still getting e-mails. I wonder if I'm the only one this is happening to?
