The newest running program on Renegade Retro, the Renegade Retro Metal Shop show is produced by our own Diofan and is a 2-hour ride into 70's, 80' & 90's Metal and Hard rock bliss (Mostly 80s).  Featuring music from the top rock bands, and metal shred cuts, the Metal Shop show will keep you head-banging your Sunday Night away!

Renegade Retro Metal Shop airs Friday Nights at 7:00 PM EST (4:00 PM PST).

"The difference between "hard rock" and "heavy metal" is a fine line. To me, hard rock really seems to be the more radio-friendly version, while heavy metal opts for a darker sound. Practically every band in the so-called glam or hair genre probably slots in hard rock, and many debate about whether such bands are really metal (the number of glam bands on the show gives a clue as to my opinion). Nonetheless, there were and are many bands not in the glam area that are best described as hard rock, and many of them have sufficient crossover appeal to belong on a metal show."

A good site on "metal" bands, can be found here. Most So-called metal sites don't even list bands like Motley Crue because they are/were glam.
